Our daughter never been to any “Bible Study” though there are two churches not so far from where we live, a Baptist and a Methudist church. I am a Catholic and unfortunately, I stopped going to the Catholic church in our area for some reasoned. On the other hand, I really want our daughter to attend any Bible study only the time was not right.

Yesterday, when she was in our neighbor’s place, playing with the girls. We went there to picked her up. Our neighbor asked me if I want our daughter to attend the “Bible Study” that they are going to have in their church starting tonight. I said “Yes” as I know it is for our daughter’s good. I want her to have the fun by meeting other kids and to learn about bible and church.

She is now waiting for the time, our neighbor will pick her up at 5:00 p.m. and they are going to stop to my neighbor’s daughter to pick up her granddaughter and to stop again to another house to pick up the other girl who is going to attend the bible study, too.

Yesterday, was the last day of school for our kindergartner. I was really excited and very happy as I could slept and wake up late, as well as my daughter and my baby. I hate to wake her up every 6:00 a.m to get ready for school. Now, no more alarm clock for a couple of months.

We indeed, woke up late this morning. My baby has no business of waking up early but once he heard noises from me and from his sister, he wakes up. This morning, was such a different feeling. We all stayed late and we just enjoyed the bed. How I wish it will stay this way for a long time but, the truth is, it is only for a couple of months and we will be back again to our normal routine. Oh well, better enjoy the days as it pass by so quickly. If only I could freeze the time and make it liked this forever, I will. LOL!

It was sometime last week when our daughter had their field trip at Bald Eagle school district (high school), the field trip was about how to drive the bicycle safely and other safety measure was also involved. She really had the fun watching the professionals flipping and doing different, amazing tricks up in the air.

Hubby, bought her the bicycle two years ago, and it was kept in the house. She does not want to drive it outside because we don’t have a pavement in our driveway. She was too lazy to pedal it hard to make it work.

After she got home from their BMX field trip, I took her bicycle outside and she drive it. It worked though there were areas where she had to stop as the bicycle got stuck. It still has the training wheels for her protection. She is way better driving her John Deere rather than driving her bicycle. I guess, balancing has something to do with it.

In the school where my kindergarten is enrolled, they have many activities. What I liked about it, is that, students are motivated to do good things and to do their very best. At the end, they will receive “rewards…” Sometimes, my daughter would bring toys from the prize box or else the whole class will be rewarded of something for showing good behavior.

Yesterday, she came home and saw the note from her Blue folder. It was about “Principal’s Lunch” informing parents not to necessarily pack lunch for their kids. The students will have a lunch with their Principal. Food will be serve are deli sandwich, chips and such!

Our kindergartner is getting so picky. I packed her lunched and she would disappointment me often. she would only ate her fruits, drink her chocolate milk and chips/cookies if I put some. Hubby and I told her to eat everything that I put in her lunch bag. Her replied was “she gets full easily”- I still packed her chocolate milk, one apple, sliced and a cup of pudding. I hope she will eat the deli sandwich.

Indeed, she still has money in her cafeteria account that she did not used. She don’t liked the food that are served. It is so hard when she is out of my sight.

Sad to say that I never been a “bookworm” in my whole life. I liked books and read books sometimes, but not to the extent that I will be reading books everyday. When I had my daughter, I was very surprised as it seems natural for her to liked books. I remembered those days when she could not read yet, still she would held books and flipped every pages of her book. She never gets tired. One of the reasoned that we (parents) was encouraged to buy her more books and even her aunties would gave her books to read.

The photo was taken back in 2010, she had her backpack with books next to it. She was looking at the brochure, checking out the photos that catches her attention. She liked anything that there are pages. Now, that she is in kindergarten, she become more of a reader. Everyday, she would come home with books to read and the next day, she would take an AR test or Advanced Reading.

She came home yesterday and took two (2) Advanced Reading test and was very proud of telling us that she got perfect score for both tests. She is reading very well at her age five (5) and I loved that she is a fast learner…

Education is what every person wants to achieve in life. It is the key to have a successful and better life. Going to school from elementary to high school is not a problem. There are public schools that are free, which gives all the students to graduate in high school. But, it does not stop there; to complete the education and be the person you want.

There is a final stage of going to school to achieve a degree, and be the one that you want to be in the future. This is the most costly and expensive, going to "college." There are 2 years course, four years course and even longer than that, depends what kind of degree you want. This is not free in most cases. Others are lucky to qualified for scholarship programs.

In my situation, it was toughed, as my parents were not rich! They both under graduate in college and I knew that, it was the reasoned why they does not have the high paying jobs. I could see the difference between people who finished in college; and those people who did not. People with degree is living a good life and struggling less. I don't want to struggle, I want to have a better life.

Since, my parents could not afford to support me 100% financially with my school expenses, I decided to worked part time. I want to graduate in college, and finished my four years degree. As a full time student and a part time worker, it was very difficult. I was juggling between going to worked and going to school. And arriving to school or to worked late was normal to me. The hardest part was, when we had the exams, I had to study hard and slept less.

I was fortunate that my professors and employers were very understanding. I did not gave up and I succeed! I was able to marched and got my diploma. I had a stabled job with all the good benefits, I worked in the office. Life was great! I was enjoying the fruit of my labor. In life, we just have to be very determine if we want to achieve something. Motivating ourselves is very important!

I am excited and really counting the remaining days until “Graduation/Awarding Day” on the 12th. Then, 13th, the following day will be the last day of school. What a big relief for mommy not to get up early anymore, of course for my daughter, too. My neighbor’s granddaughter and our daughter are classmates. She told me to give her a call if I want to go with her on the graduation day, save gas since we are both going to the same program.

My sister-in-law is so antsy to know what time is the graduation day. She really wants to go, and on the same day, she has a couple of appointments, too. No wonder she wants to know in advance the time for graduation.

Today, I had mentioned about graduation schedule to my husband, he said he is going to attend. He don’t want to miss it. He is very excited, our daughter is our fist student and as parents, we want to be there for her and support her all the way. This will be a joyous and wonderful day. Wish my other sister-in-law can attend, too. Too bad, she live far from us and she works. I am sure, she will love to see it.

As vehicle owners, we are fortunate because it is not easy to own one. Vehicles are very expensive, it can cost thousands of money regardless if buying it new or used. My husband does not liked to drive a car, that’s why he has the pick-up truck which he always called it ” A man’s truck” – he really liked his truck.

Due to the weather that kept changing from cold to hot, he decided to look for a place that sells pick-up covers, I think all vehicles should have the covers for protection. As he was browsing, he came across to this particular website that sell covers for different type of vehicle.

Hubby, does not only own a pick-up truck but he also own motorcycles and ATV. For now, his budget is only good for the pick-up cover but next time, he is going to purchase a motorcycle cover, too. He was glad that he found the right store for covers. It was very easy to shop and to navigate the website for ordering.

Last year, there were times where school was closed due to the weather. It was winter time. But, I think, it only happened five times, for sure, less than 10 times. I talked to my neighbor and she was surprised when I told her that our daughter’s last day in school will be on the 13th of June. For her, that was ridiculous, too late…

Now, it seems liked the school were just wasting their time until they reach the date, June 13th. They already had the field trip last week. And, more field trip on June 5th and another field trip on June 6th. The reasoned why they still have classes is to make up those days that they had missed last year. I can’t wait for the 13th to come. I will be the happiest mom then, because I can stay in bed longer with my babies. And, have my daughter back 24/7 again. LOL!

I never thought that I would survived of waking up every 6:00 a.m. from Monday to Friday; to get my kindergartner daughter ready for school. I always felt bad, because 6:00 a.m. is too early for my baby to get up and even for me. But, hey, we survived and now, 13 more days left and the school will be over.

Frankly, I am rejoicing but on the other hand, I am worried that she may forget what she have learned. Our daughter takes home a couple of books every day to read. It is part of their “Advance Reading” activity in school- we are so proud of our student. At her age, she is already reading very well. One of the reasoned why she is given more books than her classmates.

As I was searching of what to do this summer to keep our daughter occupied, one tip was to buy books to keep her reading and for her to learn more despite of being not in school. Yes, I so liked the idea. I guess, I will be shopping for books. She is our “bookworm”- she liked new books with interesting characters and stories in it.

As for the budget, it will make it a bit complicated. That is why, I am looking for coupon codes , that way, I don’t have to pay full price. I was online a couple days ago, browsing for places that offers coupon codes and came across at Coupon Chief website. There are tons of stores from different categories. It was amazing! Love this website very much! I found a great book store online and it offers 20%-30% off, isn’t that great? They sell books for baby, toddlers, preteen and more. Check Coupon Chief, click here and avail big savings from their coupon codes…
